Head down to your local Maccies in the next couple of weeks and grab this tasty sweet treat completely for free
'Muuum, daaaaad, can we get McDonald's?' – a sentence most parents will hear in the summer holidays. But due to a nifty hack, you can get a treat meal at a bargain price. What is the hack? Up until 19 August, McDonald's is offering a free donut if you spend £4. This is to celebrate the chain turning 50.Photo credit : Mcdonald's What's the freebie? The freebie is a birthday cake flavoured donut.
Then you will need to order your food – I ordered on one of the electronic boards in my local Maccies but you can also order face-to-face if you prefer. Make sure the board has your McDonald's account details by scanning the QR code in the app. You can also type the short code it brings up. Then add your food and drinks to your order. You will need at least £4 worth – I added a fillet o fish meal with Oreo milkshake .I then went onto the app and selected the '50th party bag' on the homepage.I added the donut to my order and the cost was automatically taken off at the checkout.
