Dyson just launched a new smart hair dryer, the Dyson Supersonic Nural, with new features that protect your scalp, reduce heat damage, and boost shine. I tested it out to see how it compares to the beloved original. Is it worth it? Here is my honest review of the Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer.
The last time I saw my stylist, she blew my mind. “Did you know that you’re doing your hair more harm than good byblow-drying it?” I did not. It turns out that for those who color-treat their hair, like me, using a blow dryer’s cool shot can seal the hair cuticle, leaving it shiny and smooth and, got to work on creating a tool with temperature-control technology.
I put the new Supersonic Nural to the test, blow-drying my hair four times a week for six weeks to see if smart technology heat control actually prevents hair damage. As someone with color-treated hair, I usually skip the frequent use of a dryer to cut back on potential damage, such as split ends and breakage. Although the infrared light beam that calculates the distance from the dryer to your scalp is invisible, you can see a device in the back of the hair dryer change color based on how close the dryer gets. A blue light indicates that the dryer is close to the scalp, and heat is decreased to its lowest setting, 55 degrees Celsius. As you move the dryer further away from your scalp and the temperature increases, the color turns yellow, orange, and red, indicating low, medium, and high heat settings.
Employing smart technology, the dryer adjusts the temperature automatically based on what attachment you pair it with. This attachment learning technology ensures you use hot styling tools without damaging your curls. It's nice to know that with the Nural, your device automatically adjusts temperature with each attachment, so you don't have to fumble with heat settings as you're blow drying.promises deliver.
