There are three Ranchers chicken and pizza takeaways in Merseyside in Bootle, Birkenhead and Walton Vale
The chip portions were small, it was cold and it left an almost stale taste in my mouth. After finishing my meal , all I could think was that it was wasted calories and not worth the money.
The menu is varied but I can only speak on behalf of the chicken burgers and the variety of fried chicken available. Compared to KFC, it's miles a head. Price wise, the supreme burger meal, which is made up of original or Spicy fillet chicken burger with cheese and topped with a hash brown, is around about the same as the equivalent KFC meal .
I found that the batter on my friend chicken had a powdery texture at KFC. The skin was covered quite thickly and instead of being crispy it felt more flaky. The chicken was also quite dry and only saved by the generous amount of sauce on the burger. In Ranchers, the chicken is a perfect blend between crunchy and crisp on the outside, and juicy on the inside.
