Camping overnight offers fans in the queue the best opportunity of securing tickets for the show courts, and is also Martin’s best piece of advice – as well as bringing a decent sleeping bag – for anyone hoping to watch a specific player.That is because the following day’s schedule is typically released the evening before, meaning supporters can all-but guarantee their chances of getting onto said court by joining the queue early.
Other tips from Martin include packing a power bank to charge your phone, a decent waterproof, as well as plenty of fluids and snacks. The nearby Southfields high street boasts a Sainsbury’s Local that opens at 7am on weekdays, likewise a Greggs at 6am, while there are also several coffee shops on the walk from the station to the park.
There is also the resale queue once inside, which Martin has also used, which is near Court 18. There, and not before 3pm, it is possible to buy returned tickets for £15 for Centre Court, and £10 for No 1 and No 2 Court.
