Seoul Plaza has been open in the city since 2023
Ahead of the Lunar New Year, which takes place on Wednesday, January 29, I decided to go to Seoul Plaza to try some of their authentic Korean food. When the ECHO last visited the Korean supermarket in Clayton Square, the hot food station was not yet open to the public, but now there is a lot on offer for customers. Seoul Plaza, owned by the brand Korea Foods, can be found in a handful of major cities dotted throughout the UK .
I joined a long queue of customers and looked at what was on offer. For £7.50 I was able to get a noodle or rice base with a topping, so I opted for yakisoba noodles with braised pork, in what was a really hefty portion. I am a noodle fiend, so I was really excited to taste it. As you can see from the video, which is also on the ECHO TikTok page , there was a huge helping of pork on top of the noodles. I think for the cost it was absolutely worth it.
