The light show is running in Liverpool until Tuesday, November 4
The River of Light first came on to my radar after a friend told me he really wanted to find a date for it. After looking into the event, I couldn't wait to check it out. Every year, the free event sees international artists come together to showcase their work through a range of illuminated installations that take over Liverpool 's Pier Head and Royal Albert Dock . The theme for this year's River of Light is 'Play'.
But my absolute favourite display of the whole experience had to be Bubblesque. The exhibition, created by Australian artist Atelier Sisu, consists of giant bubbles floating on water and overflowing onto the steps of the docks. When the land bubbles are touched, they dance with colour and ambient sounds. I was surprised to find myself so enchanted by some dancing bubbles.
