Paris St-Germain sell Neymar to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal for a fee of about 90m euros (£77.6m) plus add-ons.

The France forward, 24, had been in a contract stand-off amid a desire to join Real Madrid but could now extend his contract at PSG, with his current deal due to expire next summer.Last month, PSG gave Al-Hilal permission to talk to Mbappe after the Saudi side made a world-record £259m bid.

Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Jordan Henderson, Ruben Neves, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have all moved to Saudi Arabia.Neymar's new team-mates include ex-Wolves captain Ruben Neves, former Chelsea centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, formerly of Lazio, who were all signed for big fees.

It was Neymar's move to Paris St-Germain from Barcelona in 2017 that triggered the huge hike in transfer fees, but it did not really have the desired effect in delivering the Champions League to the French capital. If Neymar is even earning close to the salary being speculated at, it is far more than the 25m euros a year he was on at PSG, so the deal makes sense for him.
