The iconic girl band performed their second night at the SSE Arena
In 2013, my best friend and I bolted out of school as the bell rang to get the next train to Belfast and be some of the first in line for Girls Aloud at the then Odyssey Arena. We sang, danced and fangirled our hearts out when Cheryl gave us a wave, all documented with the hundreds of photos on my pink digital camera.
However, Sarah’s presence was undoubtedly felt throughout the show, with touching tributes to her throughout leaving not a dry eye in the house and you could really feel the love Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola have for her. Our own Derry girl Nadine was in top form, having thankfully packed the passport, and you could just tell she was living it up getting to perform on NI’s biggest stage once again. And of course we went wild when she jested that she’s not the type to keep up with days, years and dates - a reference to her iconic passport gate.
