There is a reason scousers love this place
The first time I heard about Maggie Fu was while I was travelling on a Merseyrail train home from work. A couple were having a an arguement which came to an end when one asked 'do you want to go to Maggie fu?' The sternest frown was quite literally turned upside down by the question. Although I hadn't heard of Maggie Fu, it turns out it is loved by a lot of scousers.
The restaurant has a big menu with appetisers, big bowls, noodle dishes and mains. Mains include Katsu or Thai Green Curry and a range of Big Bowl options which include Shredded Crispy Chilli Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken or Salt and Pepper Chicken. I went for Shredded Crispy Chilli Beef which is always my go-to order from the Chinese. The portion was huge, the food was top-notch and came served with the perfect ratio of sauce.
