'I owe her my life'
An Asda employee has been hailed a hero after rushing to the rescue of a customer who was having a heart attack. Tammie Wakefield, who works at the supermarket's Radcliffe store, sprung into action when she realised that Julie Woodburn was unwell. The trained first aider said she immediately spotted the signs of a heart attack so phoned for an ambulance.
"I knew it could be a sign of a woman having a heart attack. At that point, I didn't believe that would actually be the case." "She came up and gave me a hug," recalled Tammie. "I half expected her to say they didn't find anything but she said 'thank you for saving my life'. It was emotional.
