The band’s song Think About Things is the bookies' favourite to win 🎤
There’s still over two months to go until Eurovision, but it looks like punters are zeroing in on a favourite – despite eight countries yet to confirm their entries.Daði Freyr and Gagnamagnið were selected as Iceland’s entryDaði’s funky keytar song beat out rock band DIMMA and their track Almyrkvi in the super-final of Söngvakeppnin.
The song – written about Daði’s 10-month-old daughter- is accompanied with quirky dance moves, with the group all wearing green jumpers with pixelated versions of themselves on the front. Iceland’s favourite status is pretty impressive, seeing as the country hasn’t won out of 32 attempts. However, they broke the top 10 – and made many a headline – with anti-capitalist BDSM enthusiasts Hatari and their song Hatrið mun sigra in 2019.
