Iceland is launching a major 'Mega Deals' event in January to help households cope with the rising cost of living. The promotion features over 1,000 items priced at £1 or less, alongside popular offers like '10 for £10' and half-price essentials.
Iceland has announced a major change hitting stores this January which will allow households to bag significant savings. In response to the soaring cost of living across the UK, Iceland is launching its ' Mega Deals ' event. Available in Iceland and Food Warehouse stores and online from January 3 until January 20, there will be an impressive array of offers, including the expansion of their £1 or less range to more than 1,000 products.
Shoppers of the retail giant will also see the return of popular promotions such as 10 for £10 and half-price essentials. A recent study commissioned by Iceland saw that January represents the year's toughest financial challenge for half the population, following the cost of the festive season. A whopping 50 percent of people are now actively hunting for savings on groceries and everyday items, with 56 percent tweaking their shopping patterns to squeeze every penny. The 'Mega Deals' promotion will see savings on a host of items, from half price laundry essentials to reduced costs on frozen favourites from big names like Quorn, Chicago Town and Birdseye - and even a buy two get one free offer, reports The Mirror. Executive chairman of Iceland Foods, Richard Walker, said: 'We know families are looking to reduce spending in all aspects of everyday life and we know that we need to do our bit to help. 'January will be a struggle for millions, it's no secret that bills are going to rise and it's going to hit some families extremely hard. That's why we're stepping up, expanding our £1 or less lines and introducing hundreds of deals. We're here to help this January.' Here's what you can expect from the event: 10 for £10 Customers can purchase 10 items for £10 on select products and save up to £15, including: Birds Eye Chicken Fingers – 10 pack, £2.50 Young's Chip Shop Omega 3 Fish Fillets - two pack, £2.50 Chicago Town Cheese and Tomato Sub – two pack, £1.75 Richmond Thick Pork Sausage – eight pack, £
