Jet have announced their first UK and Ireland shows for 15 years Australian rock band Jet have announced their first UK and Ireland tour in 15 years ahead of the release of their first album for over a decade. The four-piece, who formed in Melbourne in 2001, haven’t touched down for a tour in the UK since 2009, having primarily played shows in their home country and New Zealand ever since.
Jet hit the big time back in 2003 After their initial breakout their moderate success continued well into the late 2000s, with their second album Shine On being certified Gold in the UK in 2006 and their third album Shaka Rock going Platinum in Australia. However, band do have the dubious honour of being one of only a very small handful of acts to be given a 0.0 out of 10 album review score by notable music publication Pitchfork.
