Three Glasgow high-rise flats are set to be demolished with nearby residents to be evacuated.
A demolition date has been given for three iconic Glasgow high rise flats as nearby residents are set to be evacuated.
Community liaison officers will visit residents within the exclusion zone, and the company says it is vital they speak to residents. A spokesperson for Wheatley Homes said: “Plans for the £100m transformation of Wyndford are taking a major step forward with the date announced for the demolition of three blocks. The demolition will be carried out by Safedem, an industry-leading, multi-award-winning company which has carried out similar blowdowns across the world.
“The demolition paves the way for the regeneration work which will see nearly 400 new, energy-efficient larger family homes built – 85% of which will be for social rent – transforming the area for generations to come.
