The intensity Jessica Barden brings to these flashbacks is sharpened by Watson in the present, whose matronly demeanour barely conceals her serpentine cunning and fury.Whenever the action cuts back to Emperor Javicco Corrino or even the secret rebellion led by Keiran Atreides , I found myself missing Valya and her sister.
