KFC' and 'Pokemon' drugs found after police chase leads to Lancashire man's arrest

Detectives found drugs branded 'KFC' and 'Pokémon' after a motorist led them on a chase into Lancashire.

The driver of a Vauxhall Insignia failed to stop for Merseyside Police officers on August 3 of this this year when detectives were conducting a county lines operation in Southport. The driver then allegedly rammed the police van and fled the scene before abandoning his vehicle in Lancashire. During a search of the Vauxhall police found several substances labelled 'KFC' and 'Pokémon'. They later searched the man's home and reportedly found a zombie knife and drugs as well as £5,000 in cash, the ECHO reports.

Officers from the Sefton Police branch of Merseyside Police shared photos on Facebook of the drugs, including some labelled with KFC and Pokémon stickers. Another image showed damage to the front of the police van after it was rammed. Sergeant Leach from Southport Local Policing said: “We will continue to work to combat cross border crime. This result sends a message to those who consider committing cross border crime, that causing misery and harm to our communities will be dealt with robustly.”
