Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is guaranteed at least a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics after beating Hungarian Luca Anna Hamori in the 66kg category.
Khelif is one of two boxers competing in Paris despite being banned from last year's World Championships by the International Boxing Association after she was reported to have failed gender eligibility tests, a situation which has sparked huge controversy.
The IBA said Khelif "failed to meet the eligibility criteria for participating in the women's competition, as set and laid out" in its regulations. The IBA defines a woman, female or girl as "an individual with chromosome XX" and men, males or boys as "an individual with chromosome XY".
