The city of El Cerrito is developing its Hillside Natural Area Fire Resilience and Forest Conservation Management Plan as a way of establishing a comprehensive fire hazard reduction and vegetation management strategy to guide the city’s fire fuel reduction, native forest conservation and maintenance activities.City staff and the consulting team have begun gathering data and conducting assessments. The first public workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov.

The waiver does not include dog fees, boat launch or inspection fees, fishing permits, concessions or rides such as Berkeley’s Tilden Merry-Go-Round and Redwood Valley Railway steam train.The day after Thanksgiving this year, celebrate “Green Friday” with a free parks day Nov. 24.
