Victoria Beckham developed a taste for Hermès bags in 2004 when she purchased her first Birkin – a tan iteration of the supple fit-your-life-in-it holdall. By the following year, VB had a seemingly insatiable appetite for the iconic tote bag, and had acquired white and lime green Birkins. Black, red and orange calfskin models quickly followed, as well as rare purple ostrich and burgundy exotic crocodile versions.
VB’s Kelly collection comprises purple, black and multi coloured versions of the neat trapeze-shaped model – plus mini Kelly pochettes and macro travel Kellys. Despite owning a Birkin or a Kelly for every occasion, Beckham was not an Hermès loyalist during her rise to fame. Prior to her introduction to the storied French house, the former Spice Girl was partial to Louis Vuitton’s logo-heavy It bags.
