Some wait until Halloween is been and gone before they can even begin to think about the C word, but for one family in Belfast, it's the most wonderful time of the year - and their tree is up in October.
Dark nights are upon us, and after 7 o'clock, bright lights and illuminated snowmen are visible in the Valleyside Close area, where the Crooks family have decorated their home. Speaking to Belfast Live, Sammyjo Crooks said after a difficult December last year, they decided that this year they'd continue to spread some Christmas cheer."She didn't want the tree put up this year after losing my daddy suddenly on December 5 last year. When she went out with family on Friday, I got it all out and started putting it all up.
"Daddy wouldn't want it not up. Last year, Sammyjo's mum, known to some as Mary Christmas, had similar decorations up before Halloween, with families travelling near and far to see them!"
