The First World War battleship has been berthed in Belfast for almost 99 years
One of Belfast's most unique museum experiences is set to reopen to the public for the first time since closing due to the pandemic three years ago.
Kerry Rooney, Business Development Manager at the HMS Caroline, welcomed Belfast Live to HMS Caroline to sneak a preview of the ship ahead of reopening. "We have a new staff team on site who will be welcoming the public back so it is just really exciting for us because it is an opportunity now to get one of the most important attractions in Belfast reopened."
"If you served on board Caroline and you had a baby, you had the opportunity to have the child christened on board and what they did was they took the ship's bell, turned it round, filled it with water and that was used to christen the child. Their names were etched into the underside of the bell.
