Manchester Flower Festival back in bloom with tributes to the Hacienda, Coronation Street icon and Suffragettes
Visitors can also expect to see lots of other installations and green displays across the city including a Vimto mini garden
Taking place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, the fabulous floral spectacle is marking its fifth year by celebrating all things 'Manchester' - with aManchester City Centre Business Improvement District, Featuring ten professionally designed pop-up gardens including The Grassienda - a version of the city’s legendary nightclub but made out of grasses, a Rain Garden inspired by the city’s weather reputation, and a a huge bee hive, the theme is particularly strong this year.
world’s smallest spritz bar', hosted by Harvey Nichols and Grey Goose, with a tiny camionette offering complimentary cocktail masterclasses. Twelve slots for two people will be available each day and can be booked via Eventbrite. They'll also be serving up fJust round the corner on Exchange Square, visitors will be treated to street food, live music and family entertainment courtesy of 'Festival on The Square’.
