Manchester kicked off St Patrick's Day celebrations a tad early with a grand parade
With county flags waving high and groups of dancing children parading the street, Irish festivities are in full swing. Although we are a week shy of the actualBoasting more than 30 floats, a dazzling display of glittering costumes and marching bands, the march brought with it the sounds and sights of the Emerald Isle to the streets of Manchester.
Festivities will continue this week with more than 200 events taking place over the week with events at a number of bars across the city region, including Macca's in Prestwich, Rustik in West Didsbury, and O'Sheas on Princess Street. The Manchester Irish Festival 2024 takes place across Greater Manchester from Friday, 8 March to Sunday, 17 March.
