The Belfast City Women's 10k returned on Sunday as a sea of smiling faces took to the streets of the Titanic Quarter.

The women-only event sold out following the success of the 2023 race with thousands of entries coming in to take part in the special event. The event was born out of passion and determination to welcome and empower women to celebrate their strength together and encourage fitness and wellbeing. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, the event was for everyone as it saw runners, joggers and walkers come together for the challenge.The first woman to ever win the Belfast City Half Marathon Wheelchair Race, Jayne Bleakley, was the first person to cross the line in the wheelchair category this year.It's understood he had been diving with another man who is receiving treatment in hospital after being recovered from the water.
