The 29 delegates from eight states took part in a virtual vote to protest Harris’s complicity in US support for Israel.

Although none of the individuals they nominated to be president would lawfully be allowed to run for the office, their votes were deeply symbolic, highlighting the deaths that have occurred in Gaza since last fall.
