Inilabas ng Senado ang arrest order, isang araw matapos sabihin ni Hontiveros na "nowhere near satisfactory," ang tugon ng kampo ni Quiboloy kaugnay sa show cause order na unang inilabas laban sa kaniya. Iginiit din niya na ang pagpilit sa kaniyang kliyente na dumalo sa pagdinig ng komite ay "tantamount to usurpation of judicial functions beyond the powers of the Senate" and that the resolution filed by Hontiveros is "incriminatory as it categorically declared the guilt" of the KOJC leader "totally disregarding... presumption of innocence until proven guilty."
Iniimbestigahan ng komite ni Hontiveros ang umano'y pang-aabuso ni Quiboloy sa ilang kababaihang dating miyembro ng KOJC, na ang iba ay menor de edad, at may mga dayuhan pa.
