BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Below is a list of all of the incoming and outgoing transfers in the Indiana football program heading into year one under new head coach Curt Cignetti.
The first transfer portal window was open until Jan. 2, 2024, and the second transfer portal window stretches from April 16 to April 30. These windows are strictly in regards to when players are allowed to enter the portal. There is no deadline to decide on a new school.As a 6-foot-2, 315-pound senior in 2023, West totaled 40 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble.
5-foot-10, 190-pound receiver from Texas Tech who totaled 1,751 yards and 10 touchdowns across four seasons. He played primarily in the slot and has one year of remaining eligibility.Cross played three seasons at Ohio where he caught passes from quarterback Kurtis Rourke, who's also transferring to Indiana. Cross totaled 105 receptions for 1,301 yards and eight touchdowns across three years. He has one year of remaining eligibility.
McDonald made 75 tackles in 13 games at Troy in 2023. The 6-foot-1, 232-pound linebacker transferred from Troy to Indiana in January, but he re-entered the transfer portal following spring practice with the Hoosiers. He has one year of eligibility left after playing four seasons at Troy and using a redshirt year at Iowa.Minor started nine games and played in 11 for Indiana in 2023. He earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention after making 29 total tackles and four pass breakups.
Howland led Indiana with 354 rushing yards on 75 attempts, good for 4.7 yards per carry and two touchdowns, in 2023. After carrying the ball just eight times in his first two seasons, Howland showed last year he's a powerful running back at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds. He has two years of eligibility.Transferring to Eastern Michigan. Laing transferred to Indiana before the 2023 season, but he did not play in any games due to a leg injury.
