An 18-year-old girl named Trinity Shockley was arrested in Indiana for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at her high school, Mooresville High School, on Valentine's Day. Police received a tip on Tuesday evening about the planned attack and discovered an AR-15 rifle, a bulletproof vest, and other disturbing evidence at Shockley's home. Shockley allegedly referred to the plan as 'Parkland Part Two', echoing the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. She also confessed to having a 'sexual attraction' to the Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, and claimed that her motive was to show her devotion to him.

An 18-year-old girl was arrested in Indiana for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at her high school on Valentine's Day. Trinity Shockley was taken into custody on Thursday after police received a tip on Tuesday evening about a planned shooting at Mooresville High School.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by WBIW, Shockley is accused of planning the attack for over a year and referring to it as 'Parkland Part Two', in a chilling echo of the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.Police executed a search warrant at Shockley's home and discovered an AR-15 rifle, a soft armor vest, several notebooks, and a collage featuring images of various mass shooters, including Nikolas Cruz, Dylann Roof, and Randy Stair. Additionally, they found a poster in her bedroom depicting a simulated school shooting. One of the notebooks revealed that Shockley described herself as a 'transgender male (who has) a lot of homicidal thoughts'. During questioning, Shockley claimed that her statements about the massacre were merely jokes made when she was angry and in need of help. She insisted she did not have access to a firearm. However, earlier on the day of her arrest, Shockley met with a counselor at the school and confessed to having a 'sexual attraction' to Cruz, possessing a heart-shaped locket containing his picture, and writing to him multiple times. The affidavit states that Shockley's alleged motive for the shooting was to demonstrate her devotion to Cruz. 'Trinity has an emotional attachment to Cruz,' the affidavit reads. 'Her message behind the plan is that she does not like people who think they are better than everyone else and that people should value their everyday life.'Cruz, now 26, was sentenced to life imprisonment after avoiding the death penalty. Shockley has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit intimidation, and intimidation. Her initial court appearance was on Friday, and she is currently being held at Morgan County Jail in Martinsville without bail. Her pretrial conference is scheduled for May 19, and her jury trial is set to begin on June 10. Mooresville is located approximately 19 miles southwest of Indianapolis
