Indigent senior citizens in Barangay Salapawan, Paquibato District in Davao City, show their social pension aid of P3,000 for the July to December 2023 period during the payout on August 9, 2023. The ongoing payout started on August 7 and will end on August 18 targeting around 66,702 seniors in the city’s three districts.
“It is P500 per month, and they will receive P3,000 for six months,” Coda said. Under Republic Act 9994 or the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010, eligible senior citizens will receive P500 social pension per month distributed quarterly.
