With a range of London clubs playing on Saturday, Gianni Infantino wasn’t short of options for a game to go and see whilst in the capital.and Chelsea facing Leeds at Stamford Bridge, the FIFA president opted to watch some Championship action instead… specifically, Millwall.The promotion-chasing Lions faced fellow high-flyers Norwich City as the two sides battled to end the day in the final play-off spot in England’s second tier.

And Infantino has clearly heard the hype about the EFL, as he was spotted in the stands at The Den over in south London – perhaps proving he is a football purist at heart. “It is a pleasure to welcome FIFA president Gianni Infantino to The Den for today’s fixture,” the club tweeted as fans on social media started to take notice of the Swiss.The FIFA president has been in London this week to attend the annual International Football Association Board conference.The hosts scored twice through Tom Bradshaw and Zian Flemming, but the Norwich hit three in reply, seeing the Canaries fly ahead of the London side in the table with a 3-2 win on the road.
