The New York Mets have a starting pitcher that is starting to work his way back from injury at Class-A St. Lucie.
starting pitcher David Peterson took his first step toward a return to the Majors with Class-A St. Lucie on Sunday.
But in the left-hander’s two innings, he retired all six batters he faced and struck out five of them. New York has two starting pitchers on the injured list. Tylor Megill is on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain and isn’t expected to return until mid-May. Kodai Senga is on the 60-day injured list with a right posterior shoulder capsule strain and isn’t expected back until June.
