From a makeshift hospital bed, Olympic medallist Shane Rose is battling memory loss and 18 fractures while vowing to be ready to ride for Australia in July.
Shane Rose suffered numerous fractures to his elbow, femur, pelvis and ribs in a training accident in March.Rose is aiming for a three-month recovery to ensure he can compete at the Paris Olympics .
"Nothing's come back to me at all, but I know what I was planning on doing. I'd set up some exercises, cross-country jumps," Rose said. He was once kicked in the head and placed in induced coma for a week, requiring facial reconstruction.
