An inquest was opened and adjourned into the drug-related death of a 39-year-old man. Michael Andrew Brown was referred to by his full name at a short hearing at Nottingham's Council House following his death on June 12 this year.

Stating the details on the record, Nottinghamshire coroner Laurinda Bower said Mr Brown was born on April 6 ,1983, and he sadly died on June 12, aged 39, at a property in Edwinstowe, Mansfield. Evidence of his identity was provided by his next of kind. The provisional cause of death was acute mixed drug toxicity. No further details were given about the circumstances of the case - which will be the focus of a full inquest at a later date, where a coroner will make a conclusion.

Miss Bower, on adjourning to a date to be arranged in the future, expressed her sincere condolences to his family who were aware of the very short hearing on Thursday .
