Daniel Farke has been setting the tone with Leeds United's players since they returned for pre-season this month after May's play-off pain
Forget the what-ifs of May at Wembley, but don’t let that pain and anger slip away. That’s been the message from Daniel Farke to Leeds United’s players since they reconvened this month, according to Sam Byram .
After a few weeks away to get over that pain, Farke and the team were reunited at the start of this month. They had been training hard for more than two weeks as they went into last night’s friendly at Harrogate Town.Byram says Farke’s team talks have revolved around retaining the pain of that May loss as they go through the hard yards between now and next May, when judgement will be passed again. The full-back was asked what the message had been since returning.
“Fuel the fire. We've come back and in the last three weeks we’ve worked incredibly hard. It's probably one of the toughest pre-seasons I've had in a while. “Everyone's bought into pre-season, everyone's in really good shape and heading to Germany, everyone's excited, should be good.”
