Shameless star Amanda Ryan has a key role in Charlie Fairhead's Casualty exit episode - but what is her life like off screen and where have you seen her before?
Casualty is set to welcome back more than one familiar face for Charlie Fairhead's finale after 38 years on screen, but while some of the guest cast are former stars of the show, viewers might also recognise Amanda Ryan.
While the relationship didn't work out, in 2002 Amanda, then 27, told The Mirror that splitting from him was one of the most positive things to happen to her and even prompted her to get on the housing ladder. Close family ties Amanda is one of four children and had a happy family life in London with her dad Malcolm, a university lecturer, and mum Lesley, a primary school teacher."Each child in our family has a specific place," she added. "I'm special because I'm the oldest, Jo and Sian are special because they're identical twins, and Andrew's special because he's a boy and the youngest.
One of Amanda's most memorable roles was as Sgt Carrie Rogers in Shameless, playing the bent copper for three series from 2007 to 2009.
