Best known for her role on BBC One's Escape to the Country, Denise Nurse's career has taken her from presenting the weather for Sky News to co-founding a groundbreaking law firm
Denise Nurse is a familiar face to many as the presenter of BBC One's beloved show, Escape to the Country. Since 2007, she's been guiding viewers through picturesque landscapes and charming properties.
Before making her mark on television, Denise carved out a successful career as a solicitor. In an interview with The Lawyer, she revealed, "I first got interested in law when I was about 14. I enjoyed English and history at school, and I was on the debating club, usually as the chairperson. I liked to win!
She shared in the interview: “I made it through to the top 10. As a prize we were sent to the National TV and Film School for a week and got training. We all came out with a show reel and everyone in the company voted for their favourite. “It was a big decision: I just got my dream job as a Sky Sports lawyer – how could I quit that to be a weathergirl? How could I leave my career?"
