Inside Kashmir on lockdown: Images show injured protesters and mass military build up
A communication blackout was imposed, with internet and telephone services stopped, and schools and public gatherings shut down.Restrictions are being eased in a gradual manner, however pictures have emerged of Kashmiri protestors with pellet wounds and roads blocked off with barbed wire.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut off the entire Jammu and Kashmir region at midnight on August 5. Mohammad Siddiq, says he was wounded when an Indian policeman fired a pellet gun at him while returning home from a mosque badly damaging his left eye.
