The new Mexican-inspired bar is offering free games of pool until Friday, alongside tacos and tequila-based cocktails
The alluring buzz of Mexico City’s nightlife may be some 5,000 miles away from Manchester City Centre , but in a new tucked away drinking den, the influence can certainly be felt.

Taking over the former Seven Brothers pop-up site, the bar will also serve up rotating tacos of the day available, alongside al pastor tacos - featuring spit-grilled slices of pork - as well as Gringas, loaded nachos and Madre’s now-famous burritos.
Madre’s now-recognisable pastel pink interiors have been matched with a dark, basement feel to create the unique space. Cast in a vibrant red hue, it features a large, pink-hued bar, intimate seating nooks, neon green chairs and some Mexican-inspired neon fixtures. “In Mexico the name salon comes from the pool hall and we just really wanted to create that feel. There’s some amazing little bars where it's almost Tex-Mex, you drink great beer and shoot pool.
