Former Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp has opened up about his belief that he has just ten years left to live as he discusses how he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in his 30s
Martin Kemp has opened up about how he was diagnosed with two brain tumours in his 30s, which left him fearing for his life and caused him to develop epilepsy. The musician and actor, 62, candidly discussed his health on new podcast with his son Roman Kemp.
The Spandau Ballet icon then recounted his battle with a brain tumour at the age of 34, which saw him undergo surgery on two tumours. At the time he underwent surgery, which saved his life, but left him with permanent damage and the possibility that the disease could later return. He's since developed epilepsy and has been diagnosed with dyslexia.
And discussing the dyslexia, he added: "Whenever I read a script, the text jumps and moves around and it means I have to take my time. It also stops me from reading novels. Whenever I try, my brain does not want to do it and, if it sees a novel now, it will absolutely run a mile!"
