The Dead Rabbit announced its new travel-focused concept The Irish Exit this summer, which will see a series of new Irish bars open in transit hubs around America

One of New York City's most popular Irish pubs has opened a bar inside Moynihan Train Hall in Manhattan. The first part of the expansion, a 216-seat Moynihan Food Hall outpost, opened on Monday, unveiling the blueprint for the quick service pubs. According to The Dead Rabbit's team, the bars will focus on an experience designed for travellers on the go, with QR codes for fast ordering.

He said: "It's not growth for growth's sake, the primary reason is that for us to challenge the misconceptions and the pigeonholed representations of our culture as potato eaters and leprechauns; we're not going to do that with one bar in New York. We need to start bringing that representation of what our culture today is and bringing it to other markets where there's respect for Irish culture.

"I want The Dead Rabbit to be the beacon of Irish culture in America, I want us to be the biggest and best Irish pub company in America by the end of this decade."
