Sara Cox is best known for presenting BBC Radio 2, but the mum of three has had a colourful life, from being a model in South Korea to being stalked by a paedophile
Sara Cox, the presenter of BBC Radio 2, has had quite a journey from being shockingly stalked by a paedophile to securing herself an impressive net worth. The 49 year old, who hails from Bolton, is now taking on her next venture as she joins this series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
Modelling career Sara lives in a beautiful mansion in North London with her husband, Ben Cyzer, their children, Lola, 19, Isaac, 16, and Renee, 14, and a whole host of pets including two tortoises, two dogs, a cat and a hamster. Before finding fame, life wasn't always so comfortable for Sara as she lived in some less-than-ideal flat shares.
She also shared a funny story about how she once mistook a bucket of dog meat for fried chicken! Speaking on Alan Carr's podcast Life's A Beach, she said: "I ate a little bit of dog by accident. I know! It is a weird ."But it was only when I got to the bone I realised it wasn't bone. It was kind of like an elbow. Coughing up the disc! It'll be in my lower intestine somewhere now.
During her time on the Breakfast Show, she grew the audience by a whopping 7.8 million listeners. Sara hosted the Radio 1 show until 2003, saying goodbye to the role to the sound of ' The Time of My Life' - she now presents the afternoon show on Radio 2 from 4pm on weekdays.
