When booking a hotel, TripAdvisor is the first port of call for many travellers. The reviews of a guesthouse can either make you want to book a room... or never stay there. Ever.

Steve told Lancs Live: "We like to think we offer great value for money. At the end of the day, it's it's also you know, you've got to pitch yourself with what you're offering as well. "But there's lots of places like this in Blackpool. I actually think there's more good than than bad. But it's the bad that gets the publicity not the good."

All the details of this hotel have certainly been thought about. Each of the seven rooms has its own style, and look totally different. Elaine and Steve do all the housework themselves, with a little help from a maid if they're busy. Each room features a unique crocheted blanket, made by Elaine and her 84 year old mother.

Steve says it's just as simple as treating people like people when they arrive. He said: "Yes, you want new blood. You want new customers coming in, because then you want those new customers to become old customers.
