Elon Musk has changed Twitter to X – and in the interim, struggled to find a new identity.

The enigmatic billionaire entrepreneur had finalised a deal to buy what he called “the de facto public square” for $44bn , and the business was his. Musk could do with it what he wanted.is no more, following a haphazard rebranding to X in July 2023.
Cornet, a cartoonist alongside his day job, has documented his time at Twitter – and his experience watching it collapse in on itself from the outside – in Ingle said: “It feels gross and off to be on the site. It was always a site that appealed to a certain hyperlexical mindset and now it’s all open racism and Roman history.”
The changes are coming back to bite Musk, the anonymous former employee said. “The lack of independent verification, trust and safety checks, and a curation team to debunk misinformation has all proven to be detrimental to how this conflict is being understood by people who had little or no context before.
