A serial rapist's grim end has been revealed after he spent over a decade in prison for a spree of violent sex attacks on young women across London .
Serial rapist Lawrence Dugbazah starved himself for seven weeks and died in prison age 38, 13 years after he was found guilty of a spree of horrific sexual assaults Dugbazah was handed an indeterminate Imprisonment for Public Protection for his spree of evil offences aged 27. The immigrant, who lived in London after moving to the UK from Ghana illegally aged 16 in 1999, subjected his victims to gruesome attacks in the early hours across south London.Dugbazah was found guilty at the Old Bailey in April 2011 of the attempted rape and sexual assault of the woman in the second attack, and rape in the third attack.The first rape was filmed on CCTV after Dugbazah picked the teenager up and threw her to the ground in a cafe doorway in Museum Street, Bloomsbury.
Then on March 21 an 18-year-old was in Palace Street going to a friend's house after spending the evening at a club in the King's Road, when she spotted a man watching her.She was shoved into an alcove near a shop doorway and pulled to the ground where she was raped, before eventually managing to get away and ran semi-naked to a cab waiting further along the road.
But Recorder Sally O'Neill QC, at Southwark Crown Court, told illegal immigrant Dugbazah: 'I have taken into account the terrifying nature of these attacks, the lasting harm done by your actions, and that they took place over a very short period of time.' 'The CCTV shows you hanging around until you see someone on her own to target, then you put up your hood and follow her.'
