Marcelo Bielsa's understudy was linked with a return to Elland Road last season with the Whites struggling in the Premier League
Leeds United and Carlos Corberan parted ways after winning promotion to the Premier League. The assistant coach to Marcelo Bielsa took over the vacant managerial position at Huddersfield Town and help guide the Terriers to play-off final, just a whisker away from the Premier League.
How has Corberan fared during his time at West Brom? Joseph Chapman: "In a nutshell, he's been a big success. We're approaching his one-year anniversary at the club and, having inherited them in the bottom three, he led them to just outside the play-offs last season. "There can be no excuses that they haven't received the appropriate information from one game to the next. Albion almost immediately picked up either side of the World Cup break, won nine of ten games and shot up the table. When he was linked with Leeds United, was there a concern among the Baggies fanbase he might leave? JC: "Yes, generally, but that reflects the job he has done and his coaching talent.
"It gives all concerned a peace of mind in the meantime, though. He has often spoken of how proud he is to be at the club and how intent he is on delivering success."
