This event, organized by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, aims to empower and uplift individuals by showcasing the diverse journeys of these remarkable women.

A panel of 'inspiring' female speakers will share their industry journeys at an International Women's Day event in Shropshire. Among the motivational speakers are fire chiefs Sam Burton and Karen Gowreesunker, who will talk about their careers with Shropshire Fire Service. Voice coach Emma Alston will talk about overcoming anxieties while Army veteran Stacey Morley will discuss gender equality issues in the military.

People around the world have marked International Women's Day on 8 March for more than a century. The Shifnal programme, run by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, will also feature its chief executive Ruth Ross. Other speakers include Sian Brennan-Todd and Ruth Ross. Kelly Riedel, the Chamber's events and training manager, said last year's event sold-out with 100 people coming together for an 'inspiring and thought-provoking experience'. She added: 'This year's event promises to be equally inspiring, with engaging speakers, dynamic conversations and opportunities to connect with like-minded people across our community. 'Whether you're here to learn, share, or simply be inspired, this event is designed to empower and leave a lasting impact.
