Cambridge-based cargobike delivery service Zedify has raised $5.1 million from investors in 2024 following a cash injection of $6.4 million from the same investors last year.
In a statement, Zedify said it expects to create 80 new jobs and triple its turnover in the year ahead. Gavin Chapman, Co-Head of Principal Investments at Barclays, said: “The transition to net zero emissions for many sectors is not as simple as swapping from high-emitting fuels to renewables, and this is particularly true of the logistics industry. Zedify has identified that hyper-local delivery models are needed, in combination with low-carbon transport, to decarbonize the industry and reduce pollution within the U.K.’s cities.
Zedify’s customers don’t stick with the company because of its green credentials, but because of the economics:
