An intensified northeast monsoon or 'amihan' is affecting more areas in Luzon where cold nights and mornings can be experienced. Batanes and Cagayan will likely have overcast skies with light rains due to amihan. The same weather system is affecting the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley where isolated light rains would prevail in the next 24 hours. Amihan is expected to disappear in the middle of March. No tropical cyclones are expected in the coming days.
