AMC Networks announced on Wednesday that Interview with the Vampire Season 3 would officially be coming, renewing the series.
The series, which is based on Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, will see its Season 2 finale air this weekend, and is one of several series in AMC’s growing Anne Rice Immortal Universe, which also includes Mayfair Witches and theCurrently, nothing about the plot of the third season is known or who will be returning.
The series is written and executive produced by Emmy nominee Rolin Jones, who also serves as the showrunner. It is executive produced by Mark Johnson and Christopher Rice. “When you buy the rights to 18 Anne Rice novels that have sold more than 150 million copies, in your wildest dreams you hope there’s a show as good as Interview on the other end,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. “What Rolin has done with these stories and characters, working so closely with Mark, as the steward of this universe, has exceeded the loftiest version of our expectations.
