A woman called police at 11 p.m. July 28 after her neighbor crashed into her parked car.
The responding officer saw a vehicle with front-end damage and followed it to the suspect’s home. The driver, a 36-year-old man, exhibited signs of intoxication.But two eyewitnesses identified him as the driver who struck the woman’s car.
The suspect had given a fake ID and credit card information to the business and had the loader delivered to a property in Auburn Township. A GPS device indicated that the rented equipment was in Amherst, but police there were unable to find it.
